The City of Monticello, Kentucky, held a groundbreaking ceremony October 4, 2012, to mark the beginning of the Monticello Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvement Project. The project is an expansion of the existing 0.7 mgd WWTP to 1.4 mgd on the existing site. The project is fully funded through EDA grant and USDA Rural Development grant and loan package.
